The Currawong Lakes experience includes a range of luxury on-site activities in the heart of the Tasmanian wilderness, available to accommodation guests and day visitors.

  • Stargazing

    Settle in under untouched skies to gaze up at the Milky Way. Currawong Lakes offers a magnificent vantage point to view the Aurora Australis natural light spectacular.

  • Quad Biking

    Hit the accelerator and take on the wilderness in an All Terrain Vehicle. Minimum four persons. Two-hour experience.

  • Birdwatching

    Currawong Lakes is home to more than 70 species of birds, creating awe-inspiring moments of daylight sky gazing.

  • Hunting

    With more than 600 fallow deer on the property, join our hunting guide for single- and multi-day trophy, meat and education hunting experiences.

  • COOKING CLASSES

    Learn the art of cooking with seasonal and sustainable local produce under the guidance of Chef Chris Lucas, culminating in a delicious shared meal crafted with your own hands. 

  • PICNIC

    Find your own piece of outdoor seclusion, and linger over a delicious picnic hamper of local produce. From $50 per person. 

  • Walking, Hiking & Orienteering

    Exercise body and mind as you navigate Tasmania’s rugged wilderness on foot. Orienteering course coming early 2025.  

  • Biking

    Bring your own bike and helmet, and take to the trails, or go cross-country and discover the surrounding bushland.
